BE Prepared – Access ICIP Infrastructure Funding
On 25 June 2020, 92 infrastructure projects received over $200 million in funding through the Community Culture and Recreation (CCR) and Rural and Northern Communities (RNC) streams of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP). Over $90 million was used to fund 32 projects for Indigenous communities. The second intake for both programs is currently open with combined commitments of up to $160 million. The applications close on October 1 and October 22, 2020, for each program, respectively. We are also now expecting the imminent announcement of over $60 million in projects through the CleanBC Communities Fund (CCF), which is part of the ICIP Green Instructure steam. A second intake for the CCF opened for applications on August 12th and has committed $47 million. Previous intakes to these three funding programs were oversubscribed and the applications are competitive and merit-based.

Join us on August 19th to learn directly from the source how your organization can best access these three funding streams. Our panelists are the ICIP leads from the BC Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. They are eager to spread the word about these three funds to ensure your communities are aware of the program objectives, application requirements, and best practices. Above all, they are looking to make connections with your communities and provide their contact information for follow-up once you have had time to digest the material and strategize an approach to access the funding.
